On Tuesday evening, August 25, 2015, Greyhound bus #1082 was running its usual overnight route from Atlanta, GA to New York City on Interstate 85 when dozing passengers suddenly awoke to a terrifying ordeal. The bus had just left Charlotte, NC a few hours earlier and was headed north to Greensboro when at approximately 8:30 p.m. the driver struck a large piece of metal that was lying on the roadway about 12 miles outside of High Point in Davidson County.
